The Lost and Found Show: Underwear!
If you’re missing any underwear, it’s probably because one of two things happened: 1. It’s jammed between the wall and mattress of a random hookup you’re no longer speaking to. 2. Gnomes stole it. Either way, you’re not getting your underwear back. You can deal with it by reading the Wikipedia page about undergarments to remove any trace of eroticism from the concept of underwear (seriously, this page is some dry shit, even for an amateur encyclopedia entry). Or you can go listen to several local New York writers read about underwear at this month’s Lost and Found Show.
Every third Thursday of the month, Daniel Guzman brings together authors, bloggers, comedians, and performers to share tales involving everyday objects you could find in a lost and found box. Tonight’s show is all about underpants, and Alyssa Pinkser, Ember Flame, Kiley Edgley, Suzanne Russo, and Marie Sabatino will use underwear to take them from bra shopping to a party with too much jungle juice and adventures in Japan. Plus, underwear trivia contest throughout the night! Maybe you’ll finally find out why adult women’s underwear always has a stupid tiny bow on it (just kidding, no one knows the answer to that). Strap on your underroos, or throw ’em over your pants, and get ready for a panty-filled night.
