Rumney Guggenheim’s inaugural exhibition, Some Place Like Home, unites an international selection of site-specific works by Olek in collaboration with Michelle P. Dodson, Swoon, Olivia Steele, Boxhead and Moral Turgeman, addressing the range of associations—from domestic bliss to bleakness—that define our experience of the home.

Friday night is for beating the drone of work out of your head. These four bands bash out different varieties of the punk rock music. Come down to Hank’s and fill your head with fine, distorted melodies.

Upper Broadway Fall Festival

Over 200 craftspersons, antiques dealers and artists will participate in the event. In addition, there will be exhibits of collectibles and Latin American crafts, including macrame, ceramics, jewelry, weaving and woodcarving. There will also be food stalls from over 18 countries making the Festival an international gourmet treat.

Obscure Society NY: Murder & Mayhem at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery

Join the Obscure Society of NY for a lantern-lit night tour of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery and learn some of the ghoulish stories interred in its history.
This Murder & Mayhem tour of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery focuses on some of the fallen angels of Sleepy Hollow and its more “colorful” incidents. While the historic cemetery on the Hudson River is perhaps best known as a locale in Washington Irving’s “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” there is a real and unsettling history to the site in addition to its fabled headless rider
