You wouldn’t want to get stuck standing behind Reggie Watts at a concert, his hair is too big to see over. But he’s exactly the kind of performer you want to see up on the stage, with his crazy fro bouncing along with his beatbox. Reggie Watts is part comedian, part musician, and all awesome. He’ll sing a soothing soul ballad about a break up, and then tell stories about strippers with master’s degrees, magic elves, making New Year’s Resolutions to brave the Rite Aid in Williamsburg, etc. Then, he’ll start beatboxing again, or launch into a funk song, or start making fake bird sounds with his synth. I talked to him briefly after his show the first time I saw him, and we ended the conversation by speaking in jibberish noises and backing away from each other. Whatever Reggie does tonight at Pianos will so be worth your $8. For further convincing, please watch this video of him playing in front of a fountain or this one of him dancing in a gym.

If you watch 30 Rock, you know Scott Adsit as Pete the producer who joins Liz for boxes of donuts and fakes his childrens’ death to avoid work. You might know Christina Gausas from appearing on shows like Late Night with Conan, The Colbert Report and 30 Rock. Together, they make up Adsit and Gausas, a two-person improved one-act play. While their name is appropriately titled, they won’t be while playing a photographer coming onto a teenaged model, a suicidal photographer arguing with his brother’s ex-wife about cupcakes, etc. The show is playing tonight at the UCB Theatre, and will be freaking awesome.

Kiley E - Ragamuffin Researcher

After years of denial, Kiley has finally admitted to baring a striking resemblance to Velma from Scooby Doo. Instead of traveling in a van hunting ghosts, she prefers wandering on foot in search of tacos, cheap beer, and fake birds. Growing up in Portland, Kiley enjoyed the balance of urban and green spaces. Then she spent her four years at Ithaca College, and found herself craving more sprawling asphalt in her life. So she moved to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, where most of the buildings look like they're about to collapse. Kiley's favorite activities include: getting lost, crafting, sewing, biking, and geeking out at museums. Her love of taxidermy probably makes her a terrible vegetarian, but she doesn't care.
