I’m not sure if you’ve been paying attention, but the Fox Theater in Oakland has an incredible fall season planned! So far this year they’ve had such stellar shows as Jack White, Role Model, Dropkick Murphys & Bad Religion, and GloRilla, just to name a few. But they still have a shit ton more fantastic concerts for the rest of the year.

Just check out this calendar:

I’ll list out the upcoming shows below and highlight the ones I’m most excited about:

September 13Kruder & Dorfmeister

September 19 Aminé w/ Lido

Alex G

The prolific singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Alex G built his reputation combining strong melodic sensibilities with a ragged, impulsive-sounding performance style. And he’s gonna be at the Fox for 2 nights!!

Wolf Alice

Wolf Alice’s multi-page musical palette embraces everything from ethereal electronics and lithe, lush melodies to buzzing distortion and towering feedback, reaching from the heart to the heavens. It’s a striking sonic patchwork that’s quickly established the London quartet as a vibrant voice. And I’m so excited to see them rock their asses off!

TV On The Radio

TV On The Radio’s 23-year run is nothing short of a miracle. Experimentation, curiosity and intention are the chromosomes that comprise the band’s DNA and, along with a little alchemy, it’s resulted in a more-than-two-decade run as one of America’s most original bands. I’m obsessed with their song “Ambulance”.

Alongside the shine of their myriad of musical accomplishments lies the group’s long-standing passion for social justice. In fact, this is precisely the intersection in which Portugal.
