Spend your Saturday with KQED at a free, festive block party and open house at their beautiful headquarters in San Francisco’s Mission District.

Celebrate the Bay Area’s beloved public media station with live, on-stage moments from KQED, NPR, and PBS programs, fireside chats with reporters and influential local personalities, and behind-the-scenes access through guided studio tours.

There will be interactive art, science, and learning activities for all ages, plus crafts and games from neighborhood vendors and cultural organizations. Savor bites from local food trucks featured in KQED Food and groove to live music on Noise Pop’s Homegrown Stage.

Ruby Ibarra, the 2025 Tiny Desk Contest-winner and Filipina rapper raised in San Lorenzo will be on the Noise Pop Stage. Also appearing are singer-songwriter Misa James, winner of KQED x Good Compenny Bay Area Music Showcase; acclaimed all-female salsa combo Agua Pura; DJ sets by DJ Sizzle (and more).

Between sets pop-up performances from Bateria Butuki, the 2026 San Francisco Carnaval King & Queen, and Lak’ech Dance Academy will keep outdoor audiences entertained as they enjoy food and drink from local vendors.
