On 17 December 2025, the major news outlets reported that Trump made an addition to the newly-installed Presidential Walk of Fame adjacent to the White House’s Rose Garden and leading to the Oval Office. Underneath the pictures of the Presidents, plaques have been installed, giving a description of each’s accomplishments or lack thereof, skewed according to President Trump's point of view.
As Trump has been elected to two non-consecutive Presidential terms, the first such President since Grover Cleveland, he has two portraits and two plaques. Not surprisingly, the poorly-written text on both is rather self-aggrandizing, complete with unnecessary capitalizations.
The plaques commemorating his first term note that he was the “first person in American History (sic) to become President without serving as an Officer in the Military” and that he “signed the Largest Tax Cuts in History, built a booming Economy eliminated a record number of Federal Regulations, rebuilt the United States Military, terminated the Iran Nuclear Deal and the Paris Climate Accords, ended the NAFTA disaster, destroyed the ISIS Caliphate, signed the historic Abraham accords and created the Greatest Economy in the History of the World.”
Naturally, the plaques under his second portrait contain more of the same drivel, along with his bullshit claims of there being “unprecedented Weaponization of Law Enforcement against him” and that he “made America rich with Historic Tariffs.”
Despite Trump's claims regarding the “booming Economy” and enrichment of the United States through tariffs, during his first term as President, the economy went into a deep recession during spring 2020, when Trump chose to delay his response to the coronavirus pandemic, and as for the tariffs, consumers and small businesses owners certainly aren't the ones getting rich, what with the cost of essential goods being driven upward.
Even less surprisingly, the newly installed plaques offer criticism of his rivals Barack Obama and Joseph Biden. In the case of the latter, in place of a portrait on the Presidential Walk of Fame, Biden is signified with a photograph of an automatic pen writing his signature. Under this picture, the text on the plaques condemns Biden as “by far, the worst President in American History,” characterizes him as “Sleepy” and “Crooked,” alleges he took office “as a result of the most corrupt Election ever seen in the United States” and blames his policies for “the highest Inflation ever recorded.”
However, Biden was not to blame for the inflation. On the contrary, it was caused by supply chain problems, which were largely driven by a labor shortage, which itself resulted from numerous minimum-wage workers not wanting to take jobs that wouldn't pay enough for them to get by, and that was a result of corporate greed, which itself played its own role in the inflation.
As for Barack Obama, the text on his plaque refers to him as “one of the most divisive political figures in American History” and notes that he “presided over a stagnant Economy, approved the terrible Iran Nuclear Deal and signed the one-sided Paris Climate Accords both of which were later terminated by President Donald J. Trump.”
Despite Trump's claims and his attempt to make Obama's story all about him, Obama’s policies did stimulate economic recovery, causing unemployment to fall from 10% in October 2009 to 4.7% in January 2017.
Elsewhere in the exhibit, Trump fawns over Ronald Reagan, declaring that he “was a fan of President Donald J. Trump long before President Trump's Historic run for the White House. Likewise, President Trump was a fan of his!”
In addition, the display’s introductory plaque presumes that Trump's Presidential Walk of Fame will remain intact after he leaves office. Hopefully, his successor has the good sense to get rid of this tacky pile of stupid shit.
