We Wanna Send You To Bad Movie Night at JCCSF

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

It’s baaaaaack!  Comedians from the Dark Room are doing a Mystery Science Theater 3000 style ‘Bad Movie’ Night at the JCCSF this winter, featuring banjo playing, pool, ping-pong, cash only bar and free popcorn!  If you go to the entire series use the discount code BMN25 to receive 25% off tickets, which already are just $10. (check out the lineup here)Sunday December 3rd is Kurt Russell & Steve Buscemi in John Carpenter’s Escape from L.A.

Join comedians Jim Fourniadis and Sherilyn Connelly and the rest of the legendary Dark Room Theater crew as they perform hilarious interactive running commentary Mystery Science Theater 3000-style on some of our favorite cult classic B movies – flicks so bad, they’re good! For the first film, we proudly present Escape From L.A. (R), John Carpenter’s 1996 go-for-broke sequel to Escape from New York, which revives Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken and takes place in a post-apocalyptic Los Angeles – leveled by a massive earthquake, cut off from the mainland by a flooded San Fernando Valley and converted into a prison camp for the nation’s undesirables.

Come early for banjo playing, pool, ping-pong, a beer and free popcorn. Join in the fun!

Film run time is 101 minutes.
