We proudly invite you to LOVE PREVAILS, the GLIDE Annual Holiday Jam, on November 28, 2018 at The Masonic in San Francisco. Join us as we celebrate irresistible hope and unconditional love and help raise funds for GLIDE’s Daily Free Meals program and other services. The evening will feature performances by Grammy Award winning artist India Arie, Grammy award-winning singer Lisa Fischer, the GLIDE Ensemble featuring Vernon Bush and The Change Band, plus many special surprise guests along with our Mistress of Ceremonies, Renel Brooks-Moon.
For over 50 years, GLIDE has worked to create a radically inclusive, just and loving community mobilized to alleviate suffering and break the cycles of poverty and marginalization. Located in the culturally rich Tenderloin neighborhood, GLIDE serves a diverse cross-section of homeless, low-income and disenfranchised populations, providing a holistic array of programs including free meals, HIV/HEPC testing and counseling, housing assistance, domestic violence counseling and abatement, harm reduction services and street outreach, licensed childcare, afterschool and summer programs for youth, and a family resource center. In addition to its direct services, GLIDE’s Center For Social Justice advocates and mobilizes for the rights of all people while working for systemic change to achieve greater equity and opportunity for historically marginalized groups. Through its visionary programs and community-building initiatives, GLIDE remains a life-changing gateway to transformation that treats every person with dignity and respect.
