A SOLO EXHIBITION FOR MUZAE
Pt.2 Gallery, in downtown Oakland, is opening a new solo exhibition for local artist Muzae Sesay.  There will be a new series of paintings from Sesay, inspired by an Oakland narrative told in the present from future memories of the past.

Phono is back this year, and it’s FREE, with lots of SF musicians rocking it all day.  This fun, hella Bay Area, outdoor music fest helps raise funds for The Bay Bridged, so this is a great way to support Bay Area independent music & music journalism, while checking out what’s new on the local music scene.   There’s also a pre-party and after party at the new bar Junior (held by DoTheBay).

YERBA BUENA ART WALK
Over 10 cultural organizations (including 111 Minna Gallery, Contemporary Jewish Museum, and Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD)) in the Yerba Buena area will come together for an amazing (and mostly free day).  You can hop from place to place during the art walk, or participate in one of the community events like a pre-event reception or the after party & prize raffle drawing.

ECOPOCA (Ecopocalypse) is an art exhibition-event creating an intersection of two alternate realities- an advanced eco-future vs a nuclear apocalypse.  A multi-ethnic collective of Asian Pacific Islander affiliated artists, will look to their ancestors, and the diverse ways that they lived in harmony with nature for thousands of years, as an accessible and scalable technology to create hope for our future for inspiration in this show.

IDENTITY AND PRIDE: YOUTH ART SHOW
YBCA, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF), and San Francisco Pride come together to present Identity and Pride: Youth Art Show.  Representing love and sexuality as facets of identity, the exhibition also includes a showcase of youth artwork repurposing the iconic rainbow pride flag in celebration of the 49th Annual SF LGBT Pride Parade and Celebration.

50 YEARS OF INNOVATION
Join frog as they celebrate 50 years of design and innovation during SF Design Week’s “The Future Started Here” to immerse yourself in our history, work, culture and brand of the company.  You’ll see: Photography from Helmut Newton, Dieter Henneka, a 3D exhibition of product design from the 1970s to today, and interactive installations charting frog’s collaborations with Apple, Sony, Heatworks, SFMOMA and others.
