Reduce Election Day Anxiety With Free and Discounted ‘I Voted’ Sticker Swag

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Everybody loves that “I Voted” sticker, and we’d be lying if we said it was solely because people take such pride in casting ballots. Of course, that comes first. But we can’t deny the love of free and discounted swag that comes along with that proof of civic participation.

Though most California voters opted to vote by mail, the registrars were good enough to send the little sticker with voting material.

So, if you held onto your sticker or are out there earning yours today, be sure to take advantage of some of the incentives that come along with deciding the fate of democracy (no pressure).

Krispy Kreme will give you the spoonful of sugar you need to get through Election Day anxiety. Show your sticker for a free glazed doughnut.

Hit up Planet Fitness to work off that diabetes-inducing delight with a free workout and massage for through next Tuesday.

Boston Market will kick you down a free slider, but for just $5, Chili’s will booze you up with a Presidente Margarita con free sticker for your collection.

Pieology has an Election Day deal for, wait for it…$20.20. The deal includes two 11-inch custom pizzas and dessert to get you through results drama without the need for cooking.

McDonald’s will give you a pastry item from their new bakery line with the purchase of a coffee, hot or iced.

The ride and food delivery apps are trying to sweeten voters on Prop 22, but you may as well take what they’re giving away. DoorDash is offering free delivery on orders of $15 or more. Grubhub is offering about 30 discounted items in their “Perks” tab. Uber and Lyft have discounted rides to the polls.

For a less guilt-ridden ride, the North American Bikeshare Association is running a free and discount program on shared e-scooters and more for voters headed to polling locations. Check out the nearest options at RolltothePolls.com.

Don’t feel bad taking advantage of some of these sweet and savory deals — after the year we’ve had, you deserve that and more.

Happy Election Day!!
