The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Since 2007 BrokeAssStuart.com has been dedicated to bringing you the most important news, arts, culture, nightlife, and progressive activism in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Our goal is to amplify voices that may not always get heard and stick up for working people when no one else will…and of course, have a hell of a lot of fun while doing so.

We’re currently looking for 2 editors/writers in the Bay Area who are tuned into what’s going on and want to dish on the people, places, and ideas happening here.

Queer and BIPOC folks encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

– Procuring and publishing a minimum of 3 to 5 articles per week either through production of original content or recruitment of other writers to produce original content.

– Editing articles

– Promoting articles on BAS social media or notifying social media coordinator of publication so promotion can be done on the day of publishing.

– Promoting articles on your own social media.

Compensation:

– $450 per month.

– Free tickets and press passes to pretty much any event you want.

– Promoting whatever weird shit you’re into.

– This is a contract position that will take up about 5 hours a week.

How to Apply:

Please email SFEditor@BrokeAssStuart.com with a resume and/or writing samples, links to your social media profiles, and why you think you’d be great for this position.
