SF’s United Playaz to Host Gun Buyback

United Playaz will host its annual gun buyback event in San Francisco this Saturday.  This SOMA based organization is supported by both Steph Curry and Kolin Kaepernick, United Playaz is a violence prevention and youth development organization that has worked in San Francisco for 25 years.


The event will run from 8 a.m. to noon at 1038 Howard St. Representatives from the mayor’s office, the San Francisco Police Department and community organizations will safely accept guns from people who no longer need them, according to the state Attorney General’s Office.

United Playaz website states, “We don’t have to wait for policy to change to make our communities safer! United Playaz Annual Gun Buy Back, Saturday, December 11, 2021 8:00 am – 12:00 pm at 1038 Howard Street in SF!”


No questions asked! If you’re not interested in turning in your guns, please consider picking up a free gun lock at any SF Police Station!


People turning in guns will be offered $100 cash for handguns, rifles and shotguns, as well as $200 cash for automatic weapons.
