The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I know a lot of folks wanted a copy of my new zine Slouching Towards Neverland, but couldn’t afford to join Patreon for $10 a month.

So I promised that I’d release a general public version, and that’s just what I’ve done!

Here’s a quick rundown of the zine:

– It’s a collection of 18 of my best writings about San Francisco over the past 20 years.

– It contains 3 pieces that have never been published before, so it’s extra special.

– It will make a great gift for anyone who loves San Francisco.

– Its guaranteed to make you laugh, and probably cry.

Here’s a longer description of the zine:

Through stories, articles, and poems Slouching Towards Neverland charts my journey from being an SF newbie to an ingrained part of the fabric of The City. Starting with excerpts of my journal from when I moved here as an intern, it runs mostly chronologically through my 20 years here.

And that narrative rides an arc, one that starts with my early infatuation with San Francisco, then moves to my growing love and pride for my home. From there it turns to heartache as the city I adore quickly shatters in front of my eyes. Then of course comes the pandemic, which was a different kind of heartache, and finally it ends with the optimistic feeling that we may just be getting our city back after all.
