Awesome SF Beer Week Events 2023!

Updated: Feb 10, 2023 08:36
The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Tis the season to eat, drink, crawl, and make merry all around the Bay Area with new, delicious, and oftentimes exclusive beers!  “Why?” You ask, because The San Francisco Beer Week starts on Friday all across the Bay Area!   That means the finest independent craft brewers will flock to the Bay to serve up hundreds of new beers, pales, pils, ales, IPAs, Hazy’s, Sours, Saisons, stouts, and even ciders.

There are food and beer pairings, beer tastings, beer competitions, beer parties, and beer busts at awesome venues in San Francisco, the East Bay, North Bay, Coast, and South Bay.   Henhouse has a fresh double IPA called ‘Big Chicken’ that is rumored to be better than Pliny Younger, so keep your eye out for that.  Ballast Point is opening a tap room in Mission Bay, and the fellows who first began making those strange (and incredible) West Coast Hazy IPAs using East Coast ingredients (Barebottle Brewing Co), are hosting the big opening party this year at their NEW tasting room in Salesforce Park.

You can see ALL the SF BEER WEEK events right here: sfbeerweek.org/schedule

And if you want to see the events we think will be dope, check our SF Beer Week favorites below!

2023 SF Beer Week Kick Off Party @ Salesforce Park with Barebottle

Five official Kick Offs return this year, one in each of the Bay Area Brewers Guild’s five official chapters: San Francisco, North Bay, East Bay, Silicon Valley and the Coast.

For those in San Francisco, ground zero is going to be sky-high, as Barebottle Brewing Co. hosts at its newly opened tasting room central to the sprawling 5.4-acre urban rooftop that is Salesforce Park. It’s a stunning and spectacular location, made all the more special by the terrific company and great brews, as the Barebottle team invites locals plus some friends from afar, and curates a special mix of SF Beer Week releases, including an always stellar lineup from San Francisco’s craft brewers.

Six members of the Bay Area Brewers Guild’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and their breweries: Drake’s Brewing Co. (host), Hella Coastal Brewing, HenHouse Brewing Co., Humble Sea Brewing Co., Dokkaebier and S27 Alehouse & Brewery made a collaborative beer called “This Beer Creates Opportunity”, it’s a Hazy Double IPA brewed with London Tropics yeast, Simcoe, Bru-1 and HBC 586 hops, just for the 2023 SF beer week.

The Official 2023 SFBW Collaboration Beer will be poured at each of the five Kick-Off events.

Featuring 20+ breweries, live music, local food vendors, & majestic views of downtown San Francisco, grab tickets, add to your itinerary and be ready for this special day.
