The Golden Girls Live: The Christmas Episodes brings together four drag legends to star in hilarious, holiday-themed parodies of the iconic TV show The Golden Girls. Directed by D’Arcy Drollinger, it’s a heartfelt and hilarious tribute to the characters we all know and love.

Golden Girls Live: 19 Years of Sass, Sequins & “Thank You for Being a Friend” Moments

Golden Girls: Live on Stage started up in 2006 in the front parlor of a Victorian Mansion in San Francisco’s Western Addition. Eventually it and grew in popularity and it expanded from sold-out runs at Mama Calizo’s Voice Factory to CounterPULSE. In 2011, the show moved to the 500-seat Victoria Theatre, where it continued to enjoy many years of packed sold out performances. Last year, Miss Coco Peru stepped into the role of Dorothy following the untimely and heartbreaking loss of drag icon Heklina in April 2023. She brings the same sharp wit and fierce energy to the character, channeling both Heklina and Bea Arthur with perfect sass and spirit.

Katy has lived in The Bay Area since the age of 3. While other kids were attending summer camp & soccer practice, she was raised selling wares at craft shows with her working artist parents and spent vacations in a small 1920s Montana log cabin. This has all given her a unique perspective on the ever-changing texture of San Francisco and the Greater Bay Area. Currently a blend of all that is The Bay Area - she's a web designer at a tech-company, artist and DIY teacher.
