Raina Mast
With 20+ years teaching and making art, Raina Mast (she, they) brings
wide-eyed experience and humor to their side quests of writing,
podcasting, and making music. Raised on basketball, the interviews of
their column "Notes from the Nosebleeds" and the BFF superfan banter
of “Valkyries, Say Less!” (both produced with Vanessa Hutchinson-Szekely)
transport 47-year-old Raina back to the nerdiness of what
makes basketball beautiful: the earnest appreciation for strategic
choreography and the precious justice in the rules that we all agree
to for that hour and a half, especially when there aren’t enough
whistles calling fouls in the real world.
