FREE: Juice and Wellness Retreat.
So I found out that there’s a free screening of the hilarious, awesome Grandma’s Boy tonight in NYC. My plan was to enlighten each and everyone one of you with the time and location but guess what? The site that I learned about it from CHARGES MONEY to give you any of the rest of the information. I would have had to buy a subscription to their service and I’m not gonna. There’s something inherently wrong about paying for information about a free event and I don’t want to be a part of it. So, sorry. You”ll have to rent Grandma’s Boy on your own. And you should because there’s all kinds of funny stuff in it including a dirty joke about silent film legend Charlie Chaplin.
Instead, here’s your tip o’ the day:
Because no one buys Cd’s anymore, the good old Virgin Megastore on Union Square is no more. Instead we have something called a “Recessionista Pop-Up Wellness Retreat”, and don’t ask me what that means.
Essentially Vital Juice is sponsoring this 3 day pop-up shop filled with the things listed below AND MORE!
FITNESS: Piloxing classes (combination of boxing and pilates), strip-aerobics, boot camps, core-focused classes
NUTRITION: Healthy grocery store tours, healthy food sampling, DIY tea bar
BEAUTY: Fish pedicures, false eyelash application, DIY face mask stations
WELLNESS: CPR training, organizational tip sessions, community acupuncture, ionic foot baths (for detox)
Despite the fact that sexy aerobics classes with the word “strip” in the title are anything BUT healthy, and the fact that I know how to “do it myself” when it comes to putting tea in boiling water, AND the reality that the term “fish pedicure” is one of the most putrescent I have ever heard, I heartily encourage you to stop by this event because there will, in fact, be alcohol there and it will be free. That is a promise.
Get out there and pilox your ass off.
Sorry if I sound a bit surly. Three weeks of non-stop rain will do that to a person.
