Win FREE Tix to See a Wild Aerial Performance

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

I’m actually scrambling to get my taxes done today so I don’t have enough time wax on about how dope this show sounds.  So, I’m just gonna cut and paste the press release.  If you don’t like that I’m doing that, tough titties.

To win the pair of tickets, email me at info@BrokeAssStuart.com.  I will be putting your email on my list so if you don’t want to be on it, make sure to say so.

And now on with the show:

Ahoyà!

What do you get when you put 30+ aerialists into the jungle, throw in some drummers, a plane crash, and top it all off with a 9-foot tall T-Rex? Ahoyà, The Sky Box’s annual student show.

The Sky Box, the 30′ aerial theater at the House of Yes, functions as a rehearsal space during the day but for one weekend will become the wildest, densest rain forest full of animated plants, acrobatic animals, and rambunctious tribal natives governed by a villainous tribal queen. When some tribe members are visited by visions of their destined noble queen, they conjure a spell to bring her to her new island home.

Every year Sky Box Aerial Studio stages an epic circus-theater production casting its most dedicated aerial students. The Sky Box prides itself on being NYC’s only dedicated aerial theater venue. This production has a cooler plane crash than Lost and stunts as good as The Lion King.

Tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door. Doors open at 8 and show starts at 9. One weekend only!

Thursday April 8
Friday April 9
Saturday April 10
