Save the Birds: Oil Spill Benefit Show at the Bell House
The news is showing less video of oil soaked pelicans as time goes on, but the oil from the BP spill is still hurting the animals and people of the Gulf. And you’re probably thinking to yourself, “How can I help the shrimpers who can’t shrimp, the sea turtles trying to build their nest on petroleum beaches and the wetlands plants trying to grow?” The answer is: rock n roll.
Tomorrow night, the Bell House is hosting the S.P.I.L.L. (Saving Precious Industries and Lives in Louisiana) Benefit concert. Bands include Paul and the Patients, Arpline, Brothers, Diehard and Fancy Colors. The money raised will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank in New Orleans and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. In case awesome music for a good cause isn’t enough incentive, there will be Cajun food and $4 44 North Vodka drinks. Helping dolphins hasn’t been this easy since you learned to cut the plastic six-pack rings!
