FREE: Use Macy’s For Their Flowers
As exciting as winter’s barren trees and dead grasses are, I’m ready for the pretty colors of spring. You can get your pretty flower fix with the daffodils and croucouses blooming around the city or you can go for sensory overload. For the later, go to Macy’s Annual Flower Show.
Their ground floor is covered in orchids, ferns, tulips, roses, whales sculpted out of peonies, dog-shaped hedges, bees made out of pinecones, mossy butterflies, morning glories, etc. in so many colors that it’d blow Rainbow Brite’s mind. The only downside is navigating through the perfume counters and crowds, but it’s the best collection of flowers you’ll see without trekking to Botanical Garden in the Bronx.
