EatGordaEat | The Best-ish Food Blog That You’re Not Reading

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Illyanna Maisonet is not only Broke-Ass Stuart’s Web Editor, she’s also a classically trained cook and baker that writes a food blog called EatGordaEat. Why should you be reading it? Besides it being the only blog you’ve ever read that features Puerto Rican recipes, there are shiny photos of food taken by illyanna (she bought a new camera and errything for this blog) and better more professional photos by photographer Dan Liberti. The site features other simple recipes that will get you by during the weekday and each recipe is printable with one click! Plus, she collapsed into herself like a dying star and got bronchitis attempting to build her own website without any knowledge of how to do so.

She is currently seeking funding through her Kickstarter campaign to launch the first run of her first cookbook, Gorda Eats: A Puerto Rican Cookbook. “$1 donations are just as appreciated as $100 donations,” illyanna says. So, do your duty in supporting our friend in getting her venture off the ground.

And while you’re at it, take an extra minute out of your time and nominate her blog for BEST SPECIAL INTEREST + MOST DELICIOUS FOOD VIA 2015 Saveur Food Blog Awards!
