Every festival in 2020 is canceled, but Lollapalooza is still doing a full four-day livestream of big-name acts all weekend. The Lollapalooza 2020 livestream will feature performances by OutKast, Paul McCartney, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Cure, Metallica, Lorde, LCD Soundsystem, Arcade Fire, and more — but in recorded performances of their previous appearances at Lollapalooza. The schedule is below.

That is a bunch of really good entertainment starting at 3 p.m. PT Thursday, July 30 and running through Sunday, August 2 on the Lollapalooza Youtube channel. Other big acts include Ellie Goulding, Portugal. The Man, A$AP Rocky, Cypress Hill, and a whole bunch of others.

A few artists will be playing live sets, presumably Zoom-ing from their living rooms, like Alison Wonderland who will be playing live as described above. Lollapalooza will announce the full 2020 schedule on Wednesday.

It just wouldn’t be summer without @Lollapalooza—I’m so excited to hear some of my favorite artists at this week’s virtual festival.

Before we get the fun started, do me a quick favor and make sure you are registered to vote with @WhenWeAllVote: https://t.co/LGW6QxJB4z https://t.co/ZaNHXd7S0M

There will also be some live testifying from Black activists. Michelle Obama, Chuck D, and Common will be among several notables giving live speeches about what’s what.

If you donate using @PayPal between July 27, 2020 and August 2, 2020, Lollapalooza will match up to $10,000 per organization. pic.twitter.com/RWkwSz8CK5

Lollapalooza 2020 will also be a benefit for the Arts for Illinois Relief Fund, the Equal Justice Initiative, and When We All Vote. Yes, there will probably be a bunch of shitty corporate commercials throughout the whole thing, but Lollapalooza 2020 online will let us see some amazing concerts for free while raising a ton of money for extremely worthy causes.
