Isotope might be the only 'œComic Book Lounge' in the world and it’s definitely the only one in the City. Seriously, who thought a comic book store could be so cool? Unlike most other comic book stores which are generally cluttered and small, Isotope is a big open space, with comfy leather lounge chairs, neat interior design, and a great selection of graphic novels, comics and zines from all over the Bay Area and around the world. Another unique thing about Isotope is that the staff is doing wonders in regards to the image of a comic book store clerk. These folks are unpretentious, really cool, and accessible people. And of course the best thing about Isotope is the man behind the madness, James Sime, the best dressed comic book store owner in the world. My man only wears suits, including grape colored ones. If you’re not into comics when you enter Isotope, you will be when you leave.
