Valentine’s Day Flashmob Pillow Fight
Valentine’s Day makes me want to punch myself in the face. It also makes me want to punch everyone else in the face (especially cute couples'”they’re the worst). But how to justify random acts of violence on the stupid day of love? Clearly the geniuses behind The Great San Francisco Pillow Fight, held annually on Valentine’s Day, understood my conundrum. At 6pm on Valentine’s Day, pack up a pillow and some latent aggression and make your way to the Embarcadero for a sweaty and feathery bout with hundreds of strangers. Who knows? Maybe you’ll even find a date.
Some people boycott the idiotic Hallmark holiday. Those people are either super smart and sophisticated or super single and bitter (clearly I fall into the former'or do I?). If you happen to be a lovey-dovey V-Day kind of person, then I hope that the night proves to be fun and romantic. And I hope that on the morning of February 15th you wake up next to someone you love, someone you like, someone whose name you remember, or, at the very least, the tattered remains a flashmob pillow.
Sunday, February 14th, 6pm sharp!
