Folky Events for Folky Folks All Week
I know that part of my job here is to make fun of everything and crack lewd jokes, but at times, though rarely, I find myself at a loss for things to hate. Either that, or I’m late for like 3 deadlines and don’t have time to make you fools laugh. So here are a few events/shows happening this week you probably don’t know about because they’re kind of crunchy. But if you read my posts then you should expect that by now.
Folky mania: Mark Matos and Os Beaches, Little Wings, Apache Thunderbolt, and Moomaw are all playing at the Hemlock Tavern on Wednesday. I happen to be a folk musician so I like these kinds of shows, but if you think it’s 'œfairy music' like some of my douchey friends then don’t go. But also you’re dumb and I dare you to go find Bob Dylan and tell him to his face.

The lovely ladies at Gravel & Gold are presenting a collection of Osborn/Woods prints from the 60s. 'œFor over 50 years, Osborn and Woods have been an artistic force in Nevada City, CA. They landed in the old mining town in 1957 after meeting as graduate students at UC Berkeley and went on to run a design and print shop, found the American Victorian Museum, and begin broadcasting the community radio station KVMR. Gravel & Gold has assembled 19 original prints.'
