Babylon Salon this Saturday Night
If you’re like me and enjoy pretending that you’re literate, you should check out Saturday’s Babylon Salon. Not only will there be good writers reading their good work, there will also be good drinks. That’s a lot of good. Let’s just hope for goodness sake that Cantina offers some decent drink specials. Here’s all the info below:
On Saturday, March 6, Babylon Salon presents award-winning authors Peter Orner, Kemble Scott, and Toni Mirosevich. Peter Orner’s work has appeared in Best American Stories and twice awarded a Pushcart prize. His story “The Raft” is being made into a film starring Ed Asner. Kemble Scott is the bestselling author of the novels SoMa and The Sower. Toni Mirosevich wrote Pink Harvest and four collections of poetry including My Oblique Strategies, winner of the Frank O’Hara Award. Also featured are Gravity Goldberg, editor of the San Francisco lit mag Instant City, and writers Matt Stewart and Kristina Marusic. The reading starts at 7:30 PM at Cantina SF and is free.
