FREE Ticket Giveaway: Jewish Film Festival
I know, I know, I’m writing another Jewish-centric post, but this one involves giving away FREE stuff, which Jews rarely do, so savor the moment!

It’s a running joke in my household that my dad only likes to watch Jewish movies. I swear to god (or should I say “Hashem?”), we must have watched every Holocaust movie in existence during my upbringing. Jesus Christ (hey, he’s not my savior), Dad, what’s so wrong with kicking back and watching a pleasantly bland rom-com?
Next week my dad and all you Judeo-cinephiles out there will find yourself in movie heaven with the 30th annual San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, and lucky for you we’ve got a handful of FREE tickets to give away! The tickets are for a program next Monday, July 26 at the Castro Theatre: a screening of the 1922 silent film Hungry Hearts, presented with a live score by Moab Strangers (members of local SF bands Colossal Yes, Howlin Rain, and Comets on Fire). The San Francisco one is the biggest and oldest Jewish Film Festival in the world (suck on that, New York!) so make sure to check out the rest of the 50 films and events.
To win tickets, email info@brokeassstuart.com with your favorite Jewish joke. But keep it clean, people. Stuart and I are allowed to cross the line because we’re Jews, but if you’re not a chosen one then choose your words wisely.

Here’s an example: A Jewish kid goes up to his father and says, “Dad, I need $30 dollars.” The dad replies, “$20 dollars?! What do you need $10 dollars for?!”
If you’re fresh out of not-extremely-anti-Semitic jokes, just tell us the most entertaining Jewish movie you’ve ever seen. And don’t say Shoah because we won’t believe you found it a) entertaining or b) even watched all 87 hours of it. Winners will be drawn at random by Broke Ass Stuart himself.
