Do the Cutest Thing Ever and Watch 'Amelie' in the Park for FREE!
I had this haircut in college. Because of this movie. Bad move.
The first time I saw ‘Amelie’ was in the movie theater with a high school boyfriend (now a writer for ‘Modern Family’…fuck me). The second time I saw ‘Amelie’ was in a parking lot in Seattle, which was actually incredibly awesome. The third time I saw ‘Amelie’ I’m pretty sure there was some kind of marijuana-y substance involved, but I don’t remember because I fell asleep immediately.
But on Saturday you can have a better experience than any of mine by going to see one of the best modern French movies in Washington Square Park this Saturday! If I had a date, I would date that person at this thing. Since I don’t, I’ll probably still go watch this (because how awesome is it going to be in Washington Square Park!?) but then feel like dog poop after because the movie is so ridiculously sweet. At least if I close my eyes I can enjoy Yann Tiersen‘s haunting and sentimental soundtrack as the lonely, tortured artist that I am.
But seriously, ‘Amelie’ in Washington Square Park? Epic, and FREE. I’m there, alone or not! Come see me for some Jameson. I’m very generous.
