Tonight! Celebrate a "Blue Monday" with Death Guild
What were you doing 18 years ago? If your answer is “germinating in a womb” or “reading The Baby-sitters Club,” this is not for you. But if you were at the club, grooving to K.M.F.D.M. and Nitzer Ebb in guyliner and fishnets, read on. Death Guild, a weekly goth/industrial/noise/general weirdness dance party, was born as “a safe haven to celebrate those of us who have gone our own way,” and you can celebrate its coming of age tonight at DNA Lounge!
This 18th anniversary party is so huge that it apparently requires three days to achieve full consummation, but the other two evenings involve live bands and cost $18-22 each. Tonight, however, you only have to pony up $5 to get your Lords of Acid fix if you arrive before 10pm ($10 after). DJs Decay, Joe Radio, Melting Girl, Sage, Lexor, and Intoner will be spinning all the Nine Inch Nails and Sisters of Mercy you can handle. So lace up your corset, practice changing the lightbulb to Ministry, and get ready to paint the town black.
