Catch "Litter" This Weekend For $5 At Zeum Theater
Children, children everywhere. The earth may be buckling like the merry widow on an over-enthusiastic auntie post-holiday gorge, but you wouldn’t know it by the way them babies be popping out these days.
Well, anyone who’s Catholic or part of some other culture that subscribes to a loaves and fishes sort of breeding will tell you that growing up with tons of siblings can be just a little rough. It’s bad enough on a one-at-a-time system. What would be the fall out of growing up with twelve of you?
Well, the American Conservatory Theatre’s Litter explores such queries as it tells the saga of the Framingham Dodecatuplets in their journey from procreation phenoms to pop sensations to their inevitable, un-bicarbonated fame hangover.
Yes, yes, ‘tis true – theatre, you say, is not cheap. Theatre is, indeed, in the nosebleeds of mass entertainment despite the fact that it, like many of the arts, is completely comprised of destitute and anemic, yet sensitive kittens who only need their inner “sparkle” to survive.
Sometimes, though, magic happens, and we, los broke-ass, can also revel in all that glory beyond the footlights.
So go here and enter the promo code BROKE, and for less than a sloppy mouth orgy at Ike’s (specifically $5), you have a ticket to the show’s closing weekend — tonight, March 17, through March 19. Take a chance – the crappy TV will still be oscillating when you get home.
