Hamburger Haven: Simple, Cheap, Delicious

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

If you’re looking for a simple, cheap meal it doesn’t get much better than Hamburger Haven.  This place has been doing it right since the ’60’s.

Hamburger Haven is great for nearly every meal of the day.  Their breakfast dishes, most of which hover around seven bucks, are plates of pure deliciousness.  You certainly get what you pay for as portion size is no laughing matter.  The same holds true for their sandwiches and burgers which are typically served with potato salad, coleslaw, or fries.  It’s no wonder I frequent this place.

Hamburger Haven has an old school diner feel.  There is a long counter just behind the grill with several stools, shallow booths, and old school diner memorabilia and art adorning the walls.  The service here is typically decent, although it is more about the food than the pomp and circumstance of extraordinary service.

If you are ever in the neighborhood and in the mood for a simple, cheap meal, Hamburger Haven is your spot.
