Stop In at Steins For a Beer And a Bite
731 Clement Street is constantly changing. It has been a couple of Burmese restaurants and a number of other things over the years. Currently, it’s a family owned, German-ish joint called Steins.
Steins has been around for a couple of weeks now. Generally speaking, it has seemed to be well received. The service will be the first thing you notice. Truthfully, I don’t think I have ever been treated better at a restaurant. The Steins folks are definitely doing their part to secure a solid patron base.
Aside from the great service, Steins is also broke ass friendly. Their menu offerings are simple, but what they do offer is tasty and affordable – burger and fries, fish and chips, chicken strips, various sausages, salads, and the like. Like I said, everything is quite simple, but hovers around eight bucks or so for a meal.
The same can be said for their beer selection. They serve a number of different German beers and IPAs, all of which are relatively affordable and can be enjoyed while watching any one of their five screens behind the bar. This place is completely sports friendly.
Ultimately, Steins is still relatively new and ironing out the kinks, but they could be on to something. It’s a great place for a bite and a beer.
