BA of the Week – Travel Blogger Nomadic Matt

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Every week we feature a different person from the community shedding a little light on their life of brokeitude. Who knows, maybe you’ll learn something about the human spirit — probably not.

Wanna be a Broke-Ass of the Week? Holler at us here and we’ll send you the questionnaire.

I first came across Matt’s stuff through twitter. There’s a ton of us travel writing folks who’ve all become friendly because of that lovely piece of technology it was because of some tweet that was sent out that I heard about Matt. The dude has bee traveling of over 5 years!! I like to think my lifestyle is pretty amazing, but even I’m jealous of Matt. Anyways, here’s his official bio:

“Nomadic” Matt Kepnes has been traveling around the world for over 5 years. He has been featured in National Geographic, CNN, Lonely Planet, and Lifehacker. He writes about budget travel with the goal for people to “travel better, cheaper, and longer.” He is also the author of “How to Travel the World on $50 USD per day.” You can find him on his blogFacebook, or Twitter.
