The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Ever have the problem of not knowing where to go out because you can’t decide which music will be better? Thank goodness some people actually plan these things out!

Saturday, August 4th, Brass Tax and the Space Cowboys are joining forces once again for the most explosive event of the summer Your fave DJs will be there. The Brass Tax Ass-Shakers featured are: DingDong, Ernie Trevino, JoeJoe, Jess Stockton, Mace, and Haute Mess. And the Space Cowboys Rump-Wranglers in effect are: Deckard, Erik Hertz, Shissla
shOOey, and Zach Moore.

2C1C is  a benefit for Haiti to boot. This means that you can actually feel good about drinking and dancing your ass off, since the benefits from your pocket will go to help people in need.

Downstairs from 9 to 10:30 p.m., Project HOPE Art will be hosting the second installment of the Bay Area Arm Wrestling Ladies (BAAWL) tournament, a raucous performance-based women’s arm wrestling competition that is guaranteed to be OVER THE TOP. BAAWL arm wrestlers are strong, rowdy women who toe the line between theatrical antics and hardcore athleticism. Each wrestler has a wacky costumed persona, which she can work to her advantage by winning the adoration (and skrilla) of the crowd. Wrestlers compete tournament-style in matches of sudden death elimination. How rad is that?!

All female-identified people age 21 and up are welcome to participate. For more information, or to compete in the tournament, please fill out the form here: http://projecthopeart.org/ladies-arm-wrestling-tournament/
Haiti Communitere is a supporter of the event. They work directly with community groups finding driven members of their community that just need that extra something to make their idea a reality. See the good the do here:

Ti Kay is another sponsor. Ti Kay supplements the work of the state hospital and nurses by providing an on-site medical doctor and additional nursing care, as well as ensuring that all care is free to both inpatients and outpatients. See their website here: http://www.tikayhaiti.org/
