Check Out Hauntingly Beautiful Video Homage to The Musée Mécanique

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

The Musée Mécanique is a true San Francisco treasure. I’d try to describe them but they describe themselves best “as one of the world’s largest (over 200) privately owned collection of coin-operated mechanical musical instruments and antique arcade machines in their original working condition (You can play them!).” As you can imagine, it’s a rather incredible place.

Local filmaker Marcell Turner and his production company The Commission SF shot this really sweet and dreamy homage to the Musée Mécanique and describes it saying “With Tim Burton and Fellini in mind, I attempted to portray real life versus the life of dolls and puppets… an idea of living versus living an imitation.” Check it out, its hauntingly beautiful.
