Oh hell yes. It’s finally baseball season and the San Francisco Giants, the champions of the goddamned world (or at least of the US and one city in Canada) are playing at AT&T Park. You’ve been waiting for this since October when you celebrated their championess by jumping over unnecessary fires on Valencia Street. You are a FAN!
So you and your friends dip early from work on Friday, grab some bleacher seats, some $15 beers, and some garlic fries. This is the good life! Matt Cain is starting and you‘ve been working on a cheer just for him all off-season, so you send out a Spray to get everyone in the park involved. This is your moment and it’s working beautifully, people all over bleacher-land are reading your Spray and chanting your brilliant verse and you smile into your garlic fries with self satisfaction.
You know what would make those garlic fries even better? If you smoked a little of that weed you’re prescribed for your um…something problem, but you realize you forgot to bring a pipe! Timmy would be so disappointed. Luckily you just Spray “I’ve got trees and garlic fries. Who’s got a bowl?” and with one quick, private reply, you have a new friend.
As the game goes on you realize there’s no room in your apartment for that Buster Posey bobble head they gave you when you walked in, so you take a photo of it and Spray “Anyone got a kid who didn’t get a bobble head? They can have mine!” and you absolutely make some little kid’s day.
Walking out onto Willie Mays Plaza after the game, you marvel at how another silly app so wonderfully made a ballpark full of strangers into a tight community full of baseball neighbors, a term you just made up. You Spray, “See you next time baseball neighbors” knowing that everyone who sees it will feel the exact same way.
Arriving back at 4th & King Station, you get a message from your friend with the bowl. They added you on Spray and invite you to grab a celebratory beer at Tempest! Strangers became baseball neighbors, and baseball neighbors became better friends.
Download it now, and go out there to build tighter communities and make better friends.
