The Leonard Cohen Festival is Coming to San Francisco!

The SF Leonard Cohen Festival is a multi-event 3 day celebration of the poetry, literature, and music of the late singer, songwriter, author, and poet. Many of you probably know that I’m a HUGE Leonard Cohen fan, so I am extremely excited not just for this festival, but for the fact that I get to perform in it!

Here’s a little about each night and who is performing:

Night 1 – Cafe du Nord

Readings and recitations from Leonard’s body of work, as well as a few musical interludes.

This show is partially seated, 21+. Seating is first-come, first-served. Doors 7pm – Show 8pm.

Night 2 – Swedish American Hall

Three bands pay tribute to the music of Leonard Cohen, culminating with the wild, soulful dance music of klezmer powerhouse, Kugelplex.

This show is fully seated, 21+. Doors 7pm – Show 8pm

16 artists/bands pay tribute to the lyrical and musical palette Leonard Cohen created.

Stuart Schuffman, aka Broke-Ass Stuart, is a travel writer, poet, TV host, activist, and general shit-stirrer. His website BrokeAssStuart.com is one of the most influential arts & culture sites in the San Francisco Bay Area and his freelance writing has been featured in Lonely Planet, Conde Nast Traveler, The Bold Italic, Geek.com and too many other outlets to remember. His weekly column, Broke-Ass City, appears every other Thursday in the San Francisco Examiner. Stuart’s writing has been translated into four languages. In 2011 Stuart created and hosted the travel show Young, Broke, and Beautiful on IFC and in 2015 he ran for Mayor of San Francisco and got nearly 20k votes.
