Mad Dog in the Fog is Closing

On Thursday news broke that Lower Haight stalwart Mad Dog in the Fog will be closing. They shared the news via their Facebook page explaining that they would ultimately be opening up in a new location, but didn’t give any specification as to where or when.

For over 30 years Mad Dog was a great community space for soccer fans, expats, and international travelers, and the comments on the post reflect this. People have chimed in from across the country and across the globe lamenting the closing of this well loved pub.
In the meantime check out their sister bar The Kezar Pub, where you can still support the Mad Dog folks and get some damn good wings.
I reached out to Cyril via FB to find out more details on why they are closing. I’ve yet to hear a response but will update this when I do find out.
