Live Music, Art and Kid Stuff at the FREE Rock Make Street Festival on Sunday!

This awesome event is FREE. I repeat, FREE.

You know how on most Sundays you sit at home getting day drunk on a mega bottle of wine and watch reruns of Tosh.0 until it gets dark out because there isn’t nearly enough sun to coax you off the couch, and then there’s those Sundays where there’s a million FREE things going on that regardless of the weather, you can’t decide on what to do?

This Sunday, the 22nd, is thankfully one of the latter times (which is good because I hear that wine bellies, like the one I’ve been cultivating, are not very attractive).  There’s a shitload going on this weekend, but I think probably the coolest one is the 3rd annual TOTALLY FREE Bay Bridged-sponsored Rock Make Street Festival happening in the Mission.  In addition to over 100 arts & crafts vendors (!?), there will be THREE stages featuring live music from all local bands.  And these are serious bands that I’ve paid, like, real money to see!  Overall the lineup is amazing, but I definitely recommend at least catching Social Studies, AB & the Sea, and Leopold and his Fiction.  They won’t disappoint — Scout’s honor.

And for those of you that have kids — God love you — there’s supposed to be lots of youngster-friendly activities.  Which is ironic for an event co-sponsored by Medithrive, SF’s “premier medical cannabis dispensary.”  And THAT’S why I love this city.
