Looking for an Oakland Editor for BAS

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Greetings to all you amazing, brilliant, and fantastic East Bay Broke-Ass Stuart readers! Considering how much of our readership is in the East Bay these days we figured it made sense to expand to having a lot more East Bay coverage. So, we’re looking for an editor to cover Oakland and surrounding areas like Berkeley and Alameda for BrokeAssStuart.com

What does this entail? Glad you asked! The editor would be responsible for finding writers to cover the East Bay, edit their articles, and then have them ready for publication. The goal is to have at least 3 articles a week ready for publication.

Payment is $300 a month to begin with. I know it’s not much, but the media business sucks and as an indie publication it’s the best we can do. When we hit our goal on Patreon we will be able to pay you more. There are other perks though like tickets to shows and other events. Plus if you bring in advertisers there’s a healthy commission in it for you as well.

Does this sound like its up your alley? I thought so!

Please email SFeditor@BrokeAssStuart.com with a writing sample and a little about your experience with editing. Also, let us know if you’re interested in writing for the site even if we pick someone else as editor.

Thanks! Looking forward to this.
