$5 Mint Slope Cocktail Crawl Tonight

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Pop quiz:  What do you call the span of city along Market from Church to Octavia?  Well, now instead of referring to it as “where Safeway is,” you can call the microhood by its new nickname: Mint Slope.  You know, because of the Mint Building and stuff, NOT because we’re trying to make San Francisco sound more like New York.  Anyway, I don’t care what it’s called — I just care that if I go there, I can hit a bunch of bars in a row.

Join fellow revelers (or protestors who think we should calm down and make do with the neighborhood names we already have) tonight at the Mint Slope Cocktail Crawl.  For just $5, your party ticket (which you can RSVP/order HERE) will get you delicious SVEDKA vodka drinks starting off at The Orbit Room, then heading to The Pilsner Inn, Rebel, and Blackbird.  Each venue has been charged with the task of creating an original drink made with SVEDKA that represents their “unique character.”  Best homework assignment EVER.

Mint Slope Cocktail Crawl – Registration at Orbit Room 1900 Market St. (btwn. Laguna & Guerrero) Wednesday, March 23, 6:30pm – 9:30pm $5 donation

Christy Jovanelly - Cheapskate Commentator

When Christy announced she was leaving her family's Southern California home and moving to San Francisco, her mom said, "Have fun in that den of sin." This is the only (however sarcastic) advice Christy has ever taken from her mom, who also told her to join eharmony.com and cover her eyes during sex scenes in movies. Christy puts her creative writing degree to good use by locating the typos on Chinese food menus and spends most of her time challenging friends to all-you-can-eat contests and trying to get that one bartender at Zeitgeist to smile.
