Yo, if you’re an artist (of any kind) living in the bay or looking to move here, there’s s free seminar today on how to get affordable housing and free financial services in San Francisco. It is possible!! And thank the SF Arts Commission for providing the funding and MEDA for the providing this type of counseling.

“Come learn about how to take advantage of the free affordable housing coaching and financial services now available to San Francisco artists!
An SF Arts Commission Grant has made one-on-one counseling services available to SF artists who live or work in the city to guide you through the affordable housing application process, as well as provide a number of other helpful services such as free financial counseling and free tax preparation.
If you are able to bring the following documents with you, it is not required, but may be helpful:
Live in San Francisco:
Telephone bill (land line only)
Cable or internet bill
Gas or Electric bill
Garbage bill
Water bill
Paystub (listing home address)
Public benefits record
School record
Work in San Francisco:
Paystub (showing employer address in San Francisco)
Letter from employer verifying employment in San Francisco with at least 75% of working hours in the City
