Dearly beloved…. Prince’s estate is releasing a vintage 1985 Prince & the Revolution concert that will be available all weekend long, a sign o the times as it will be a fundraiser for COVID-19 relief. A whole bunch of your other favorite weekly events and parties are providing online streaming alternatives too, as are gobs of Bay Area artists creating awesome streaming content and putting on shows this weekend, we’ve listed a shit-ton of shut-in live internet events going off online.

Some of these are live events, others are archived and available on demand. All times listed are Pacific Time, but here are your best opportunities to log on and get off to forget your shelter-in-place blues.

THURSDAY, MAY 14

Prince & The Revolution: Live (6 pm)

If u did not get 2 look at Prince & the Revolution back in the glory days of their Purple Rain era, you can relive it this weekend. Prince’s estate is releasing a vintage concert from March 30, 1985 at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y. The show will remain up all weekend, and will be preceded on Thursday night with a hourlong interview with the Revolution drummer Bobby Z. The whole thing is a fundraiser for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO, and has already raised nearly $5 million before the show has even kicked off!
