9 Reasons to Vote No on the Newsom Recall Even If You Hate Newsom

The Recall Gavin Newsom election is less than a month away, and you probably already have your mail-in ballot. The whole recall is bankrolled by just a few wealthy Republicans, and that’s just one of the reasons you should vote No on the recall. But consider these nine other absolutely terrible things that would happen to the state of California if Gavin Newsom were recalled as governor.

YOU WILL HAVE A TRUMPER AS GOVERNOR

ALL THE REPUBLICANS ARE ANTI-VAXX AND ANTI-MASK

NEARLY 10,000 WILL BECOME PEOPLE HOMELESS OVERNIGHT

There are currently about 8,500 people who have a roof over their head thanks to Newsom’s Project Homekey, which rents hotel rooms for unshoused people during COVID. Those people will be out on the street if Republicans win the recall.

WILDFIRES AND GLOBAL WARMING WILL GET WORSE

Fracking and oil drilling will be out of control under a Republican, and Larry Elder has called global warming “a crock.”

6 MILLION KIDS WILL GO HUNGRY

More than six million kids get free meals under a program Newsom initiated last month. That comes to a complete halt under a Republican governor, and literally millions of children will go hungry.

If the Republican recall succeeds, Larry Elder has said he will repeal CA’s vaccine requirements for health care workers and teachers, reversing Gov Gavin Newsom’s efforts to protect kids from the Delta variant.

KIDS WILL DIE OF COVID-19

Every Republican in the race says they will repeal the teacher vaccination mandate. That means more COVID in schools, putting unvaccinated children under 12 at an enormous risk.

Thx to Gavin Newsom's leadership, CA is *only* state to have seen a decrease in COVID cases over last 14 days.

COVID-19 WILL GET MUCH WORSE

California is the only state in the U.S. where case counts have gone down in the last two weeks. That will not be the case with a Republican governor, who will probably get COVID like Trump and Ron DeSants, and still not learn their lesson.
