Tinder Live w/ Lane Moore and Janeane Garofalo is at Sketchfest!
Comedian, best-selling author, musician and former Sex and Relationship editor for Cosmopolitan Magazine, Lane Moore is bringing her show TINDER LIVE to Sketchfest in San Francisco (Friday, January 27th at Cobb’s Comedy Club). You may remember the BAS Comedian You Should Know interview with Lane back in 2016.
I got into Lane Moore because her book “How to be Alone (If You Want To And Even If You Don’t)” was in every bookstore window for the longest time. So, I decided to grab it and read it without knowing anything about the author. I’m so glad I did! Lane is fearless and vulnerable. In this book she shares very personal stories, like not having someone to put on the emergency contact when you go to a doctor or start a new job. She also exposes issues and asks questions people don’t really talk about out in the open. But what makes her brilliant, is that she finds a way to laugh and have a great sense of humor to deal with life’s hardships. I just want to plug the book cause it made me cry and laugh, and I think you should read it, too!
On her show TINDER LIVE featuring special guest, the AMAZING actress, comedian and activist Janeane Garofalo (who’s also having her own show at Cobb’s on Saturday January 28th, get your tickets here!) Moore creates a character and matches with the most absurd, weirdest profiles on Tinder, live in front of the audience. For anyone who’s been on any dating app, you’ll be able to transcend the frustrations and insanity, by laughing with a group of people…which is actually, probably really therapeutic. But if you’ve never been on a dating app (lucky you and also, really?!) it’s going to be a chance of a lifetime to giggle along with us mere dating app users mortals. “It’s not a cynical show”, Lane believes “people are doing the best they can”. But it’s funny as hell! And comedy is healing!
