Guess Which SF Institution is NOT Shutting Down!

The Bay's best newsletter for underground events & news

Me and my business partner Alex Mak.

Too many of our favorite Bay Area institutions have closed down in recent years. The good news is that plans on always being here for you. But we need your help to do so.

Most people don’t realize that it costs over $10,000 a month to run Broke-Ass Stuart. While the amount we pay out each month seems to be continually going up, our income is never consistent. Some months we have lots of advertisers, and some months there are none. On top of that, our Beer, Wine, and Coffee Passports don’t sell nearly as well as they did before the Pandemic.

So I’m hoping at least 100 of you will join the BAS Patreon at $6 a month or more.

What Your Support Allows Us to Do

Here are just some of the things your support allows us to do every year:

• Publish 750+ articles.

• Get the word out about 150+ non-profits, charities, and fundraisers.

• Pay dozens of writers and artists to create amazing things.

• Promote 2000+ local events.

PLUS we launched our event text message list this year too!

And here are some of the important stories we’ve told recently:

• We got the word out about the money that you might be owed if you’ve ever worked in San Francisco.

• We warned you about the fentanyl laced party drugs that were killing people in the Bay Area..

• We alerted you about the jerk who parked his Cybertruck in the crosswalk every day.

• We shined a light on the serious troubles the SF Symphony is going through.

• We let you know that everyone’s favorite ‘little witchy’ herb store was closing.

So please help us keep doing the awesome work we do. BAS has been here for you since 2004. With your help we’ll be here till 2034.
