Straight and To The Point: 50 Really Short Plays Tonight in SF!
One thing that I hate about myself is that I always talk too much, and go on too long about things I care about. It’s consistently been a problem throughout my life — it’s what always got me sent to the principals office, what always makes that awkward moment the pinnacle point of the night, what always leaves me wishing I was born tongueless and unable to sign. And if there is a thing I don’t like, it’s plays. They’re is always so much long, drawn out drama that always leaves me wondering: “And?”
Cafe Royale is hosting “50 Really Really Short Plays” tonight — a whirlwind tour of acting work that is all meat and no filler. What I really wonder is how they are planning on doing the monologues. I picture lots of outbursts emotion in record breaking time. The Royale’s beer and wine list are small and the prices match, so if you’re looking for something to do without breaking the bank, it’s looking like you should keep it short and sweet tonight.
