Tacos in the TL, Tuesdays in August
Although clearly burritos are the most highly evolved form of food, science dictates that they must share a common ancestor with tacos. But you don’t have to schlep down to the Mission to get them on Tuesdays this August: Hit up Jones in the scenester-trash, crack-transaction Tenderloin instead!
Really, though, I love the ‘Loin. It’s got character, and I’ve lived here for nearly two years. I was thinking about moving, but this taco event might have changed my mind. Your instructions: Stroll into Jones, order a taco and a drink, lather, rinse, repeat. One taco (carnitas or pollo) plus a can of Tecate is $5, and you can have tequila instead of the beer for just one dollar more. Also, according to popular demand, Jones is adding nachos or chips and guacamole for $7. So go to the TL this Tuesday and next, and taste a taco and a two-bit tipple or ten.
