Missing Links Press launches Found Dharma

Street Sign

Nothing says summer solstice like hearing some poetry created from serendipitous street signs. (By the way, did you know that the word serendipity comes from a fairy tale called Three Princes of Serendip? Go read about it.)

This Friday poet Genine Lentine will read from her new book Found Dharma. She’s the brilliant poet/performance artist behind the powerfully simple LISTENING BOOTH. But this Friday, you get to her her read from her latest book that brings together found poetry from streetsigns around San Francisco. Awesome.

It’s the first title from Missing Links Press, founded by Thomas Ingalls, a long-time graphic design professor at CCA.

Here’s the rundown:

Found Dharma Talks is a collection of 18 short poems drawn from the language of public signs, overheard coversations, and other sources. The reading will begin at 7:00, and two different editions of the book will be available for purchase at the the event.

If you go, I’ll see you there!
