Lost Pilgrims Reunion Show at Viracocha this Saturday
Lost Pilgrims, the San Francisco based band from the early 90s is hosting a reunion show at Viracocha on Saturday, August 17, 2013. The show, which starts at 8pm, will also feature East Bay stalwarts, The Everlovin’ and their unique blend of rock with bluegrass overtones. Lost Pilgrims released two albums in the years 1992-1994: As Far As You Know, which garnered national attention after a favorable review in Billboard magazine, and Sandwich From A Gas Station, and toured the country extensively during that time period. A reunion record, The Araby Sessions, followed in 2009. They were compared in press ranging from The Washington Post to The Desert News to groups as diverse as Soul Asylum and The Violent Femmes, and look to recapture the magic of those early 90s shows with this one appearance on the west coast. An east coast date to the “reunion tour” is being considered for the fall. “We tried to book the Oakland Coliseum to accommodate all our fans,” said Pilgrims’ bassist, Michael Silver, “but given that it was unavailable, we felt that Viracocha would be a good choice for a cozy and intimate show.”
